Ready for Summer

Today was a beautiful day in Indy. We got up to about 78 degrees today and sunny! Maddie and I spent some time outside waiting for Chuck to get home. We got her a new sun hat and some sunglasses. She really didn't mind the sunglasses! We played for a half an hour and she didn't try to take them off. We can't wait until this weather is here to stay!!

Last weekend

Friday we went downtown and had dinner at Girogio's Pizza. It was nice out, so we walked around for a little while. Here are a cute pic of Madelyn (they are all cute, though, aren't they?)

Saturday Maddie went and stayed with Uncle Joe, Aunt Randi and Cousin Rachel. She spent the night there and Chuck and I headed to The Dutch Mill in Logansport for a surprise (30th) birthday party for our friend Stacey.

It was a fun evening...I even did karaoke for the first time (with the others, of course).

Nothing beats Chuck's rendition of Back in Black. It was way better than AC/DC's version.

"The Teachers"

A trip to Cincinnati

The first weekend in March we went to go see our friends, Joe and Terri. They just recently moved back to Ohio from South Carolina and are getting married in May!

We had a "day o' fun" in Cincinnati. We started off the day by going down to the Newport Aquarium, which was in Kentucky.

It was a cold and windy day, but we didn't let that stop us.

Maddie enjoyed looking at the shark tank with her Daddy. She really looked around a lot when we were there.

After the aquarium, we walked around the mall on the river walk. There Joe and Chuck played some video games.

The final stop on our tour was a grocery store. Now, I know this sounds like a dumb thing to do, but you have got to go to Jungle Jim's if you are ever in the Cincinnati area. They have everything and I DO mean everything. Check out what Chuck found there.

Finally, the "Award Winning Bathrooms". When you open these doors, they lead to some beautiful and normal bathrooms. Pretty clever, though,eh?
