The Queen City

This weekend we packed up the car to head down to our friends' Terri and Joe's wedding in Cincinnati. We stayed at the Millenium Hotel in downtown Cincinnati, which Jill had booked through Priceline. Maddie really liked the view from the 12th floor, and you could even see the festivities for the Taste of Cincinnati going on below. The wedding wasn't until 6:30, so we went down to the street to sample some of the city's cuisine. My first instinct was to find a funnel cake, but apparently it's not a Cincy specialty. Oh well.
The wedding was fun, we saw some old Purdue friends. Joe was a classmate of mine in Industrial Engineering, and Terri was one of Jill's neighbors. Unfortunately the camera was having some issues during the wedding and reception, so we don't have any pictures from that :(
The camera was working again on Sunday, so were able to get some pictures of our trip to Madison, Indiana. It's a cool riverside town on the Ohio River, and they were having an outdoor art show on Sunday, but most importantly...they had funnel cakes (not just an art show afterall...). Originally we had planned to watch the Cincinnati Reds play the Pittsburgh Pirates, but it was 85 degrees and sunny, and we figured it was too much for Maddie. So, we did some extra driving to see the little town of Madison. We checked out some southern Indiana art, but there was one piece that stood out among the rest of the exhibits... The only question is, who gets it for Christmas?
